These fridgid and evil temperatures has Buffalonians either hibernating or braving the chill. We’ve got our top weekend bash picks for you- because we know you’re rockin’ that North Face, Sorels, beanie, and cup of Glögg.

Friday 1/24

Buffalo Science Museum: your happy hour of 6-9pm serves up a game of clue: galleries are transformed in to a life-size murder mystery game- solve it with your lovebird or gather up some friends (2-10 people). Cash bar & food up for grabs. 21+, $20/person, $10/BHS members

Shea’s: If you have not had the chance to see Wicked on stage yet, now is the time. This is the last weekend for the show and it is an absolute MUST on your to-do list. The visual dynamics, music, storyline, and vocals will blow you away and it is all unforgettable. Check sheas.org for tickets: you have tonight, twice tomorrow, and twice Sunday. take a trip to room: room is having their Winter Flea sale and it is 65% off holiday items. Saturday 1/25

Niagara Wine and Beer Tasting Fest: happening at the Kenan Center Arena in Lockport 11am-8pm. You’re going to get a chance to sip on all the fantastic Niagara County wines and beer from brewers such as Old First Ward, Hamburg Brewing, Flying Bison, and many more! This is the top event to gather your friends or family together- or just have a relaxing day with your lovebird. Grab some food and listen to some live Latin jazz music! $25 pre-sale tix, $35 at door.

Seneca Niagara Casino: Burlesque To Broadway- a flashy, wild, entertaining performance starring Quinn Lemley which gives you glamour, seduction, ….and the goods! Splurge with dinner at The Western Door or hit up the casino and see if you can leave a ‘big spender’!

Head downtown and make a night in the Cobblestone District: grab some poutine at Buffalo Iron Works, some schnitzel at Lagerhaus95, or reserve a table at Elements inside Helium Comedy Club where you can laugh your a** off with Aries Spears. There Friday and Saturday evenings, make it a night down in Buffalo’s up-and-coming district!

Sun 1/26

The 4th Annual Buffalo Soup-Fest is on at the Buffalo Convention Center downtown from 11am-6pm! $5 admission, $1 food tix (many soups are 2-3 bucks). Over 36 places are in competition for the next Soup King of Buffalo! Africa Peanut, Shepherd’s Pie with Water Buffalo, Roasted Pumpkin Cider Bisque…I mean, how perfect is this with all of that polar vortex nonsense?! Afterward, head to the Hotel Lafayette and keep warm by Pan-Am’s or the lobby’s fireplace.
