Weekend Bash: 2/21- 2/23 (now you need to fake spring happiness)

Boy, oh boy. We try not to complain too much about the weather (hey, we are thick-skinned WNYers!), but we’re gonna say it: this weather is a Debbie Downer. It is getting too easy to stay in and hibernate every single day- so instead of turning in to a couch potato, here is your Weekend Bash list of our top picks to do this weekend!

Ya gotta get out & laugh: Helium Comedy Club brings on Judah Friedlander (Frank of 30 Rock!) tonight & tomorrow. Reserve your seat and tickets online, $22-$32. After you gain some stomach muscles back, head over to Iron Works or Lagerhaus95 for a bite & cold one. Tickets online here.

Get a sneak peek: the debut of the Buffalo Sabres exhibit at the Buffalo History Museum, beginning tonight! From 6-9pm admission is free and you can scope out Tim Horton’s jersey he wore in his final Buffalo home game plus displays of headlines, Game Day programs, and more nostalgia from the French Connection.

A Love Letter to Buffalo: The BPO will be performing a benefit concert for the First Presbyterian Church Tower Restoration tonight at 8pm. $40. Champagne to follow the performance- cheers! Tickets online & at church doors tonight.

BreadHive Worker Cooperative Bakery is giving you a sneak peek at DBGB’s from 6-9pm tonight, free! Check out some samples, meet and greet, learn about this new West Side bakery, and kick back with some music and order some beer cheese soup to warm you up.

Pretend it’s spring! The Orchid Show happens Saturday and Sunday at the Buffalo Botanical Gardens. Take in the beauty of these beautiful orchid exhibits and learn about growing them on your own. Orchids will also be available for purchase. Head there together and take in the beautiful colors. Saturday 10-5; Sunday 10-3; $9 adults…$8 seniors & students…$5 kids 3-12.

Keep in the spring feel and head to the Hamburg Fairgrounds for the WNY Home & Garden Expo. Get a jump on what you want to create together when the weather heats up. $7 admission…runs Thursday 2/20 through Sunday 2/23. Click here for directions, discounted tickets, and times.
